What is a coupon code?

A coupon code can be used to link a BeeChintzy offer with a discount code you have created in your point of sale system. When added to an offer, BeeChintzy converts your coupon code into a bar code. These bar codes will be displayed on the offer card in the BeeChintzy app and can be scanned at the register to activate the discount.

How do I set up a coupon code for my place of business?

You begin setting up coupon codes by identifying the kind of barcode your point of sale terminal can read. Do this by selecting a Coupon Code Type while creating or editing your location details. This action tells BeeChintzy to create all barcodes (coupon codes) for this location's offers using the type of code you selected here.

How do I add a coupon to an offer?

Once you've selected the coupon code type for your location, you can assign unique coupon codes to any offer you create for your location. When creating or editing an offer, simply enter the coupon code value that will be encoded into the offer's barcode. This value should match the discount code you entered into your point of sale system.

How does a consumer redeem a coupon?

When a consumer wishes to redeem a coupon code, they simply open the BeeChintzy app, navigate to the offer they wish to redeem and show the bar code to the cashier. The cashier scans the barcode and the discount is applied to the purchase within your Point of Sale system.

What happens if I can't link my point of sale system to BeeChintzy?

You may not have a point of sale system that uses coupon codes or you may choose not to use this feature of the BeeChintzy merchant platform. That's OK too! When an offer does not contain a coupon code, the consumer may redeem the offer by scanning the BeeChintzy QR code at your point of sale. This scan will register a redemption on your BeeChintzy location dashboard. Any other value associated with the offer is the merchant's responsibility to deliver to the consumer.
